Blixsem is a 28 foot Butt Cat fishing boat, based out of Knysna and offers Deep Sea Fishing Charters along the scenic Garden Route Coastline.  

Experienced anglers and beginners are welcome. Children from 5 years old are welcome on our fishing charters.

 Blixsem is a 28 foot Butt Cat powered by 2 x 250 hp Suzuki 4 stroke outboards and is fully equipped to the SAMSA safety requirements. Fast, stable and spacious, she makes for the ideal platform. The vessel is licensed to carry 12 passengers but experience has shown that 6 fishermen prove to be the ideal number with a possible 4 none fisherman as guests.

There is a wide variety of fish to be caught off the Knysna Deep Sea Fishing Coast. 

Pelagic fish (Top Water) such as Bonito and Mackerel are plentiful throughout most of the year, tend to peak during the warmer months of the year.

Bottom fish such as Reds (Roman, Santer, Dageraad, Miss Lucy) are still caught in good numbers, as are Kob with Yellow tail on occasions. We have also discovered some productive Hake grounds, but be aware they are in deep waters and require a fair bit of physical endurance.
