Buffelskop Caravan Park
Buffelskop Caravan Park is a family orientated camp site located in the Goukamma Marine Reserve, +/- 8km off the N2 between George and Knysna in the heart of the Garden Route.
It is situated on top of the hill and has some of the best views over the pristine shoreline along the bay below, dolphins and whales are a regular sight which can be seen from your caravan or tent. Beautiful sunsets and sunrise over the ocean can be seen from all stands.
The campsite provides 48 spacious caravan stands equipped with electricity and own braai spot. We are very proud of our clean and tidy ablution facilities and park grounds with safe play area for children. The park grounds speed limit is 20km/hour ensuring pedestrians are safe (children walk, ride bicycles, roller skates and playing about safely). During peak season we have security guards patrolling the park grounds 24 hours 7 days a week.
Buffels Bay (also known as Buffelsbaai) is about 3 min drive from Buffelskop and is one of the safest and best beaches in the Knysna – Sedgefield area because of its half-moon shape which provides protection against the strong currents and rip tides that most of the beaches along the Garden Route are prone to. It is also known for its blue flag status during high season. Walkers and joggers with their dogs can enjoy an 8km stroll along the beach at low tide from Buffelsbaai to Brenton-on-Sea.
The beach and rocky cliffs below Buffelskop Caravan Park also known as the ‘wild cost’ is popular with fishermen, and provide many hours of fun for children playing in the rocky pools.
