Kestell Adventures
Kestell Adventures is an owner-operated adventure company in the town Sabie in the province of Mpumalanga, South Africa. The office is 45 minutes away from the famous Kruger National Park; God’s Window and the 3rd largest canyon in the world; the Blyde River Canyon.
They specialize in 6 adventure activities, namely: White-water Tubing, Canyoning, Abseiling, Caving, Forest Cruises and Team Building. We absolutely love the outdoors and it would be our privilege to show you a good time on our activities. We keep our overheads low so our prices can be the best.
After working in the adventure tourism industry for 7 years, Kestell Barnard realized his dream of starting his own venture. Kestell Adventures proudly opened its doors in 2009.
Having been working in tourism for many years, Barbara Petley has been invaluable in the success of the business, natural in the office, helping with bookings and sharing her knowledge. Kestell personally accompanies each activity, with bigger groups and over busy times he gets guides to help.
Kestell worked as a freelance guide during his studies and later pursued a career in guiding and adventure tourism. He has a National Diploma in Adventure Tourism Management from Tshwane University of Technology, he qualified as an Abseil Supervisor with South African Mountaineering Development & Training Trust, is an Adventure Standards Africa accredited River Guide Leader for up to class 4 rapids and has a level 3 first aid qualification.
