Travelling from Cape Town up the West Coast, just more than 100km from the mother city you will find the beautiful town of Langebaan. Bordered by the West Coast National park as well as the Langebaan lagoon, this little town is a travellers paradise.

Home to over 300 different species of birds as well as being a natural saltwater estuary for fish, much of Langebaan and the lagoon is a marine protected area.

The Lagoon is one of the last natural self-sustaining, pure saltwater lagoons remaining. The nutrient-filled tides bring with it a wide variety of fish species. Safe and sheltered no stress safe for the children.

The lagoon provides fishing opportunities for young and old, novice or experienced fisherman alike, provided you know where to find these fish, how to target them, which bait to use, how to present these bates and have a couple of tricks up your sleeve that comes from years of experience.

Owner Jaco has been fishing these waters for over 40 years and is a qualified skipper with a 40 nautical mile day-and-night skippers license. Jaco grew up on the West Coast and was fortunate enough to have a father that imparted his love, experience and skill on him. He, therefore, has a prolific knowledge and experience of the lagoon and has become one of the most experienced and successful charter operators in Langebaan.

Not only does he love what he does, but his love for fishing is now being passed down to the third generation Langebaan fisherman. His son Nico has been fishing with Jaco from the age of three and is growing in experience all the time.
