Owners Evelyn and Steff are not strangers to our captivating Knysna estuary and rugged heads. For over a decade the driven and dynamic duo chartered their elegant 50 foot mono-hull yacht, the Outeniqua, in and out the Knysna Heads introducing hundreds of guests to Knysna’s natural assets.

In 2012 Evelyn took over the helm of the already existing Ocean Odyssey Whale Watching company to complement their ocean-going services. Evelyn has since taken Ocean Odyssey to a whole new level. In 2013 we were awarded our Blue Flag status for our three vessels – Odysseus, Sousa and Oyster Catcher, an award we proudly support and are committed to for the 7th year running.

Evelyn’s passion for the industry, environment and marine life is a driving force within the company and the industry. Our Office based on Thesen Island is complimented with our very own unique curio and retail shop. Guests can take a little piece of our paradise home with them after enjoying an unforgettable marine encounter. Hiring of our unique GONOW Electric Bikes is also available at our offices. This new trend in urban travel is a great way to explore our captivating town or try our SUP (Stand-up Paddle boards) for those that would like to explore the exclusive Thesen Island waterways a must for any beautiful summer’s day.
