Sanddrif Holiday Resort

Sanddrif Holiday Resort is situated on the farm Dwarsrivier, home of Cederberg Wines, approximately 250 km north of Cape Town. The farm lies in the heart of the Cederberg Wilderness Area, which is renowned for its spectacular rock formations, expansive vistas, rock art and fynbos.

Accommodation at Sanddrif consists of self-catering cottages and campsites with electricity points. Long before adventure sports became popular, the Nieuwoudt family started renovating dwellings on the farm to offer hikers and rock climbers basic overnight accommodation during their expeditions in the mountains. Over the years Sanddrif has grown into a well-established and popular holiday destination.

Activities for nature lovers and the adventurous include day hikes, rock climbing, mountain biking, trail running, bird watching, stargazing and swimming in the tranquil Matjies River. Those looking for a slower pace can relax in the crystal-clear waters of the Maalgat rock pools, wander through the ancient Valley of the Red gods, explore the fynbos-rich area or take a short drive to view the beautiful San rock art. There is wine tasting at Cederberg Wines and Cederberg Brewery’s ice-cold craft beers are on sale at the farm shop.
